Breakthrough in 2024. The ogham stone is a door lintel from an outhouse in Lougher, not a forgotten monument. It measures 1.24m long, .34m wide and .1m thick, and it still carries the name ERCAVICCAS MAQI CO. A chamber is hidden inside the ordinary.

Until recently this stone acted as the door lintel to an outhouse in Lougher townland and reputedly came from the rath in the adjoining townland of Rathmalode (Macalister 1945, 190-1, no. 196). The Co. Kerry Field Club (1939) mention briefly the possibility that it came from a grave-site (KE045-110----) in Lougher townland, but their informant is now deceased and the information could not be verified. The stone is now in Musáem Chorca Dhuibhne, Ballyferriter [KE042-166----]. It is 1.24m long, .34m wide and .1m thick. The stone is broken at one end and only 2 letters of the last name are visible. The inscription reads: ERCAVICCAS MAQI CO.....' (Cuppage 1986, no. 520) This stone has been studied as part of the ‘Ogham in 3D’ project undertaken by the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies.
