Indicated is a broken earthen ringfort in County Mayo pasture, its oval bank widened to four metres but pierced by gaps where farm stock has long since worn through the clay. The Deel River flows twenty metres north, close enough to damp the grass and carry the smell of rain into the hollow, while stones once set inside the bank still peek through the soil like teeth in a gum. People may have lived there before boundaries were drawn, raising a roof against the western wind and watching the water mark the edge of their world.

In pasture, on a low rise, in an area of undulating grassland. The Deel River, which marks the N boundary of the townland, is located 20m to N. Raised oval area (41.6m E–W; 32m N–S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 2.2m, at N). The bank is best defined on the W half, with remnants of internal stone facing evident in parts. Stone facing on the external face of the bank at S–SW appears to be the result of incorporation of that section of the bank into a later NW–SE field boundary. There are numerous gaps in the bank, including a break (Wth 1.8m) at ENE, and a break (Wth 2.4m) at SSW; these appear to be the result of erosion by farm stock, and it is not possible to pinpoint the original entrance.
