Thirty yards east of a drowned lane, a shallow ditch still marks the edge of a forgotten chamber. The wet grass hides more than it reveals, but the circular shadow returns in satellite images long after human memory faded. Tobergobban watches from the north, waiting for the earthwork to finish speaking.

In wet rough pasture, 90m SE of townland boundary with Bottomstown. ‘Tobergobban’ holy well(LI040-017-) and graveyard (LI040-018001-) lie 60m and 40m to the NW respectively. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 60; AP 5/2073) as a circular area defined by a fosse from SSW-W-N-NE, intersected at E by a drainage ditch running N-S. Faint trace of circular cropmark visible on OSi orthophoto taken 2005-12. Outline of earthwork (diam. c. 17m) visible on Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthophotos.
