What is recorded here
Mongrel and chain, no wider than a chamber pot, yet it carried the weight of every promise broken in that house. It remembered the shape of each hand that held it, and it gave back double what they withheld. Love returned as warmth. Fear returned as teeth. That is why people still speak to it like a child, careful and honest, because childhood has no defence against its arithmetic.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH (O.S. memoir site, unlocated). Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
