Fairy fort is an earthen ringfort just east of a drumlin summit in Rackwallace, County Monaghan. Its grass-covered interior measures nearly forty metres across, bounded by a four-metre-high bank and outer ditch. A widened entrance and causeway mark the east-south-east side. People may have lived, herded, or hidden there before the land forgot their names. The earth still holds the shape of that forgotten use.

Located just E of the summit of a drumlin. This is a subcircular grass and rush-covered area (dims 39.4m NW-SE; 35.4m NE-SE) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at E: Wth of base 6.8m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H c. 4m), and an outer fosse (at E: Wth of base 3.7m; ext. D 0.7m) which has a field bank outside it WSW-N-ENE. The entrance (Wth of base 4.5m) which has been widened, and causeway (Wth of top 2m; H c. 0.5m) are at ESE. The interior has become overgrown since 1968 (OSAP: 1995).
