Graveslab in Quin Abbey church: a 2.1m limestone slab under the south belfry, its edge inscription worn to “THIS IS THE ANCIENT TUMBE OF ROBE (?)...”. Robe may have been a person, a family or a forgotten local name; the stones no longer answer that question. What remains is a burial marker displaced into an abbey, preserving death, pride and loss beneath a later Christian building.

Situated under the S part of the belfry in Quin Abbey church (CL042-027002-). A large rectangular limestone graveslab (L 2.1m; Wth 0.75m; D 0.06m) oriented E-W. An inscription in English in raised Roman capitals extended around the entire edge but is very worn in places. The remaining legible part reads 'THIS IS THE ANCIENT TUMBE OF ROBE (?)...'.
