What is recorded here

Mortons and promontory forts scatter the western coast like broken teeth. They are not complete circles but half shells clinging to sea cliffs, using rock and water instead of earth and labor. Build a wall across the narrow neck and the ocean finishes the rest. That is why so many still stand while ordinary ringforts vanished into fields.
