Poulnagun

Recorded cave place

What is recorded here

Four centuries of rain have not erased the shallow oval mound on the Clare ridge, where grass and a broken field wall now argue over its edges. Two hundred metres away a stepped barrow still holds its tiers against the sky, as if both monuments had been laid down in a single deliberate gesture across open ground. Whatever they marked has stopped speaking, but the ridge keeps repeating the shape, holding two answers side by side instead of burying either one.
The Irish Caves Database records Poulnagun at Poulnagun in County Clare. This point comes from its public cave register. A cave map point does not by itself grant access: check local conditions and ask the landowner where needed.
