What is recorded here

Sweat Ho is a small circular hollow at the bottom of a south-facing slope near the Yellow River in County Leitrim, marked only on the 1907 OS map and still visible beside an abandoned farmhouse. It may have been a place where people sat in controlled heat, listened to water nearby, and left behind little more than a shallow circle in the earth. The absence of grand remains does not diminish it; it suggests an unshowy ritual, repeated quietly until the valley itself remembered the shape of the body inside.

Situated at the bottom of a S-facing slope in a small E-W valley close to its junction with the N-S Yellow River where it turns W and c. 60m N of an abandoned farmhouse. It is marked only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. A small hollow (diam. c. 4m; D c. 0.2m) is visible.
