Dunkineely Point holds at least three rectangular house sites and garden plots from the nineteenth century. They still show as earthworks beside a corrugated roof building, marking a small clustered settlement rather than a scattered farm. The point may have suited people who wanted depth, company and a place sturdy enough to remember.

The earthworks of at least three rectangular shaped house sites with associated garden plots all of which appear to be contemporary with a corrugated roof building located to the E which is 19th century in date.
