What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Onagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a slight rise on a south-facing slope, forming a circular grass-covered area about forty-four metres north-south and forty metres east-west. A four-metre-wide earthen bank and hedge survive from the southeast through the west to the north, while the missing northeast section left spoil inside the remaining bank. Traces of internal facing stones remain, but no visible fosse or original entrance is identifiable.

On a slight rise of a S-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 44m N-S; c. 40m E-W) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 4m; H 0.6-1m) SE-W-N with traces of internal facing- stones. The perimeter has been removed N-SE, and the spoil added to the inside of the surviving bank. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance.
