Gallán is a two-metre rectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, set on a south-facing pasture slope with packing stones still visible at its base. It has stood since before human memory, watching sheep graze and storms pass, while people came and went without marking it on maps. Its long axis points northeast to southwest, aligning with no modern road or field boundary, suggesting it served a purpose older than ownership. The stone does not ask to be believed; it waits to be noticed.

Not marked on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on S-facing slope. Stone (H 2m; 0.43m x 0.56m) is rectangular in plan and section with packing stones exposed at base, long axis NE-SW.
