Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1900, possibly incorporating fabric of earlier house, pre-1840, on site. One of a pair. Pitched (shared) roof with materials not visible, red brick Running bond chimney stack, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and one-over-one timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with step supporting padstones, and replacement timber panelled door having overlight. Street fronted.

Possibly having origins in an earlier predecessor indicated on archival editions of the Ordnance Survey, a pleasant small-scale house built as one of a pair (with 15605222) contributes to the modest streetscape quality of Chapel Lane. Having been well maintained, the house presents an early aspect with the simple architectural attributes surviving in place together with most of the original fabric, thereby upholding the positive impression made on the character of the street scene.
