Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Nahod Little is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Nahod Little, County Westmeath, Ireland. Situated on a rise in pasture, the site was annotated as a fort on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map and depicted as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork on the revised 1910 edition OS 25-inch map. A 1964 description recorded it as a low platform earthwork defined by a scarp and faint traces of an external fosse, while a 1973 account described it as a levelled roughly oval-shaped area defined by a pale green band of differential grass growth representing a backfilled fosse.
Situated on a rise, in pasture. A ringfort (WM030-062----) lies c. 90m to N. Annotated ‘Fort’ on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map and depicted as a circular-shaped tree-lined enclosure. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1964 as a low platform earthwork (max. H 6’-8’ / 1.8-2.4m) defined by a scarp and faint traces of an external fosse (OPW Field Report 05/05/1964). Interior is inaccessible. Levelled monument described in 1973 as a roughly oval-shaped area (diam. 40m) defined by a pale green band of differential growth of grass which presumably represents a backfilled fosse. Levelled monument is visible today as a faint roughly circular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe aerial photography.

A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Nahod Little is a circular, tree-lined earthwork situated on a rise, likely dating to the early medieval period. It appears on 19th-century Ordnance Survey maps annotated as a 'Fort,' and local tradition may associate it with supernatural or fairy lore common to such sites in Irish and Celtic folklore.
