Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Moyoran, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the southwest end of a low northeast-southwest ridge and presents a circular grass and rush-covered area roughly twenty-seven metres across. A four-and-a-half-metre-wide earthen bank surrounds the interior, while a band of rushes marks the fosse throughout the circuit. No entrance remains visible on the structure.
At the SW end of a low NE-SW ridge. Circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 27m E-W; 26.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.9m) with some bushes SSW-WNW and a scarp (H 0.3-0.5m) elsewhere. The fosse (Wth of base 2-3.5m) is visible as a band of rushes throughout, but there is no visible entrance.
