What is recorded here

Mountnorth holds a missing scratching stone, c. 4-5ft high, removed c. 1972 from a north-facing slope in County Cork. People may have rubbed it, marked it or simply known it as a place where the body could speak before words. Its absence does not erase that use; it sharpens it.

In tillage, on N-facing slope c. 77m ESE of possible standing stone (10189). Removed c. 1972. Regarded locally as 'scratching stone c. 4-5ft high'.
