Ogham Stones is an ogham stone (present location) in Mountmelleray, County Waterford, Ireland. This greenstone slab measures approximately 1.37 metres by 0.47 metres with a thickness of 10 centimetres, and it is one of five ogham stones from the church site of Kilgrovan currently displayed in the Buaille na gCuimhnte exhibition at Mount Melleray Abbey. Scholars have offered differing readings of its inscription, with one reading NISIGNI MAQI ER[….]I and another reading NISIGNI MAQ ER[….] without a final letter.
Five ogham stones from the church site of Kilgrovan (WA031-045001-) are presently displayed in the Buaille na gCuimhnte - Corner of Memories - exhibition at Mount Melleray Abbey. This stone (see WA031-045003-) has been recorded as 'greenstone' (dims. c. 1.37m x c. 0.47m; T 10cm) and the inscription has been read as: NISIGNI MAQI ER[….]I by Macalister (1945, 282-3, no. 287) but as: NISIGNI MAQ ER[….], without a final-I in MAQI, by O'Kelly (1945, 152-3).
