What is recorded here

Moneymore is a small village in County Louth, Ireland. The well is no longer visible because modern development covered the old ground. It belongs to the medieval period and probably served the house beside it. People may have drawn water from that well before the town changed around them.

Discovered during pre-development excavation in 1996 (Excavation Licence No. 96E0161). Found in association with a possible medieval house (LH024-041049-) and a stone lined pit (LH024-041051-).
