What is recorded here

Graveslab in Moneymore marks a Quick or Plunket burial from 1589. Its limestone surface still carries impaled arms and margin lettering, proving that local identity was proud enough to carve even in death. The slab sits south of the church, where passers may still read the names and imagine the hands that struck it.

Quick/Plunket slab, 1589, made from a rectangular piece of limestone and situated to the S of the church. The Quick and Plunket arms are impaled on a panel and it has incised lettering on the margin.
