What is recorded here

Moneteen holds one standing stone beside new sports pitches, though no map from 1924 marked it and no person has found the exact spot. Children may still run past a buried marker while thinking only about goals and corners. The stone could be watching the grass, waiting for boots to stop and notice the older shape beneath the game.

Situated in a collection of recently-constructed sports pitches. Not indicated on the 1924 OS 6-inch map. The site was not located.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
