Some cabins and a tiled house (WA040-012001-), the property of Sir Nicholas Walshe of Ballykeeroge (WA023-035001-) in 1641 but then owned by the Earl of Cork, are recorded in the Civil Survey (1654-6) at Monatory (Simington 1942, 29).
