What is recorded here

Winwood Blundell, son of George Blundell of Edenderry, died on 30 July 1680 and left a tombstone in Monasteroris, though its exact spot has slipped from the graveyard. The church ruins beside the stones still stand in rough limestone, overlooking flat ground and distant fields. Whatever hand cut his name into stone, that much of him remains visible while the rest has dissolved into time.

Located on flat ground with good extensive views. In NE corner of graveyard (OF011-009002-), ruins of long rectangular church (OF011-009001-) built with roughly coursed limestone rubble. The graveyard contains some fine examples of late 17th-century headstones (OF011-009003/004-).
