John Cofey died on 26 March 1699 and lies beside the ruined rectangular church in Monasteroris. The small headstone stands south of the limestone rubble, while finer late 17th-century stones occupy the graveyard’s northeast corner. Flat ground and extensive views remain beside the buried man, preserving his name across centuries.

Located on flat ground with good extensive views. In NE corner of graveyard (OF011-009002-), ruins of long rectangular church (OF011-009001-) built with roughly coursed limestone rubble. The graveyard contains some fine examples of late 17th-century headstones (OF011-009004/005-).
