Rossmore Castle in County Monaghan stands as a ruined stepped platform overlooking Castle Lough, preserving the foundations of a house demolished in 1975. Built in 1827 and extended in 1858, the estate featured grass terraces, limestone copings and pedestals that may have displayed sculpture.
