Situated on flat poorly drained pasture in an upland area with nearby enclosure site (TN028-060) to the NE. A square-shaped area (dims. 38m NE-SW x 36.5m NW-SE) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; max. int. H 1.1m; ext. H 1.3m) and water-filled moat (Wth 4-6m; D 1.3m) with possible destroyed entrance (Wth 3m) at SE. In the N sector of interior are the sod-covered remains of a long rectangular house (ext. dims. 25m NE-SW x 9m NW-SE) orientated on a NE-SW axis. Grass-covered foundations may represent a wall dividing the building into two rooms. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
