Cairn F

Cairn F is a cruciform passage tomb on Carnbane West in County Meath, built with carved stones showing serpents, zig-zags and rayed circles. It belongs to the Loughcrew complex, where people buried their dead and marked the hilltop long before modern maps named the place. The kerb bends inward to avoid a neighbouring cairn, suggesting the builders still recognised the boundary of another household of the dead.
