Grave Yard stands on a rise above flat County Meath land, holding Clonmaduff parish church inside rectangular masonry walls that Dopping absent in 1682 but later built. Headstones from roughly 1800 to 1980 mark ordinary deaths and two priors of Courtown friary, linking the graveyard to a Franciscan house that ended in 1826. The place is small, clear and layered: local burial, church life and a vanished religious house all compressed into one elevated rectangle.

Situated on a rise in s level landscape. The parish church of Clonmaduff (ME030-009----) is within a rectangular graveyard (dims c. 40m WNW-ESE; c. 40m NNE-SSW) defined by masonry walls, which according to Dopping (1682-5) were not present at that time (Ellison 1972, 12). The headstones date from c. 1800 to c. 1980 and include two that commemorate the priors of Courtown friary (ME030-010----), an 18th century Franciscan house (Cogan 1862-70, 1, 121-4), that was c. 500m to the SE, which lasted until 1826.
