What is recorded here

Inis Gé Theas, the southern of the two Inishkea islands, sits off the Mullet Peninsula in County Mayo. Its people kept cattle, fished the Atlantic, and lived in roofed cottages until October 1927, when a sudden storm took ten young men from the islands. Most left after that loss. The enclosure recorded there may have marked a home, a herding boundary, or a older ritual edge, but it still belongs to the same interrupted life: hands on rope, butter churned, children learning the sound of the sea before they could name it.
Inis Gé Theas is recorded as a island in County Mayo. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
