Megalithic tomb

Five thousand years of rain have bent two great stones inward at Killour, yet the chamber still spans nearly seven metres beneath the pasture sky. It is not a finished monument but a paused gesture, its northern slab and small side enclosure preserving the shape of ceremonies that predate written memory. The nearby henge and cairn suggest this corner of Mayo belonged to people who kept returning to mark the dead and shape the land. Gravity is winning, but the intention remains visible if you kneel beside the stones and read what they still hold.
