What is recorded here
Five thousand years of rain have bent two giant stones inward at Killour, freezing the tomb mid-collapse like a sentence interrupted by gravity. Yet the north chamber still holds an east-west slab and a small enclosed chamber, hinting that these Neolithic builders designed a place for living memory rather than forgotten death. To stand beside this ruin is to share a field with the henge and cairn nearby, completing a landscape where the dead remained neighbours instead of strangers.
Megalithic Tomb is recorded as a archaeological place in County Mayo. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
