What is recorded here

Indicated is a crannog in County Mayo, Ireland. Whether it is a drowned house, a fishing platform or a boundary marker remains unknown. The lake may have filled later, or the woods may have grown around it. In either case, the crannog is no longer a crannog. It is a warning about how quickly human shape disappears when no one remembers the hands that made it.
