What is recorded here

No one knows when the passage closed or who stopped using it. It entered the rath from the north side, a deliberate cut through living earth, yet even the memory of its entrance has faded. The region still drops without warning, swallowing roads and revealing buried fields after storms. Cloonagh may be guarding one of its own doors, waiting for the next deluge to open what human hands first carved.

Associated with a large enclosure (GA017-071----). According to Neary (1914, 113-14, no. 139), a 'Man-made underground passage led into the rath from the N. side'. No visible surface trace survives.
