Under the shallow soil of a circular rath on the northern slopes of a ridge stretching west from Flemingstown mountain, a rectangular depression still marks the mouth of a hidden passage. People within living memory walked that dark tunnel, suggesting the ancient earth remained a usable room long after its builders vanished. The rath stands as a broken circle above that forgotten depth, waiting for curiosity brave enough to look inside.

Circular univallate rath KE045-022---- with Man-made underground passage KE045-022001- is situated on the N slopes of the low ridge that extends W from Flemingstown mountain. A rectangular depression in the NE part of the interior marks the site of a Man-made underground passage which was accessible within living memory. The above description is derived from J.
