What is recorded here
Maghnavery still holds the buried line of a Rath, though grass and forgetfulness have smoothed its edge. The name preserves a shape that no longer answers back. What was built there has returned to soil, but the place keeps its own memory and waits for someone to listen.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
