Gosford Castle stood within Gosford Demesne during the seventeenth century, marking a powerful presence in County Armagh. Its exact chambers have vanished, but the castle name still anchors the land. Perhaps it watched roads, collected rents or sheltered people during troubled years. The lost stones may have held kitchens, halls and bedrooms where ordinary life moved beside danger.
