Maddockstown is an abandoned church in County Kilkenny, reduced to a broken arch and scattered stones within its own graveyard. The doorway is gone, but the curve of the arch still points upward, refusing to release the people who entered it. What remains is not a building but a threshold, waiting for someone to remember the shape of the room it once opened.
Within the graveyard (KK020-045002-), at the NE end, associated with the medieval church of Maddockstown (KK020-045001-). An arch stone fragment was probably part of the doorway, now broken out, of the medieval church.
