Indicated is a D-shaped fairy fort in County Galway, Ireland. Its earthen bank still stands beside ruined buildings once called Mc Dermott's Lodge. The shape suggests people lived there, marked time there, and left the field quiet enough for imagination to finish what memory forgot.

Some 85m WNW of a ringfort (GA099-143----), it lies immediately N of a number of ruined buildings marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1947) as 'Mc Dermott's Lodge (in Ruins)'. A D-shaped rath (N-S 31m, E-W 29.5m), in fair condition, defined by a bank from NNE to E and from SSW through W to N. A small outhouse abuts the enclosing element at SW.
