Crannog in Lough Gara is a crannog in Lough Gara, County Sligo, Ireland. Two possible crannogs sit on the northeast shore of Inch Island, facing the Boyle River mouth and Ox Mountains. Water erosion removed sediments to expose white lake marl, leaving wooden posts, horizontal timbers and brushwood embedded in or resting on the marl. Rows of stones set firmly into the ground appear further up toward the older shoreline.

In Lough Gara, on the NE shore of Inch Island with views over the mouth of the Boyle River and to the Ox Mountains. The two possible crannogs (SL047-006----; SL047-007----) (Cross 1953, fig. 1) have become indistinct with no definite edges. They consist mainly of wooden posts in an area where water has eroded out sediments and exposed the white lake marl. Overlying the marl is a number of small angular stones. The older shoreline is visible further up on the shore. During the site inspection twenty-six pieces of wood were found in the shallow water and also wooden posts, horizontal timbers and pieces of brushwood, directly on top of or in the marl. Further up towards the older shoreline there are rows of stones, firmly set into the ground.
