Crannog in Lough Gara

Crannog

What is recorded here

Crannog in Lough Gara is a crannog in Lough Gara, County Sligo, Ireland. The site occupies reclaimed bogland on an earlier shoreline of the lough. Cross marked it as a crannog on an unpublished map, but grass now covers the area and the possible structure has not been located. The landowner recalls wooden posts appearing before overgrowth concealed the shore.
