What is recorded here

Promontory fort stands on a coastal edge in County Cork, Ireland. Its stones and earth still mark a place where people faced the sea, watched the horizon and held ground against the weather. The fort may have served as a home, a warning point or a boundary marker, though no written account survives to confirm which.
