Lisnasure, County Down, Ireland. E.CHRIST.. COUNTERSCARP RATH. A countercarp rath, not a common ringfort, perhaps built to watch a valley or hide a family from bandits. The stones may still hold the shape of that choice, even if the names and dates have worn smooth.
