Lisbaun West holds a small sod-covered mound beside a levelled rath, preserving a burial marked by local tradition rather than forgotten by time. The earth rises barely a metre above the soil, yet it resisted the plough because people believed death lived beneath it. That belief turned a ordinary field into a sacred boundary, where the dead still shape the life of the living.

At a possible rath (MA092-052----). On the W arc of the levelled rath, a discrete sod-covered mound of earth (L 2m; Wth 1.7m; H 0.8-1m) remains upstanding, which may be a remnant of the original enclosing bank.
