What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular grass ringfort on the central summit of a three-peaked drumlin ridge in County Monaghan. Its southern bank still rises 1.6m, while the western ditch has faded into memory and the true entrance remains hidden. The fort sits between two higher brothers, as if the land stacked rings to touch the sky.

Situated on the central of three summits on an ENE-WSW drumlin ridge. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 25m) defined by a slight bank with some bushes that is largely reduced to a scarp (at S: H 1.6m), with traces of an external fosse at WNW. The original entrance is not identified, but an outer bank was recorded in the 1940s (SMR file). There is a NE-SW field bank just to the NW.
