Freestanding single-storey shelter, built c.1970, having flat concrete roof and concealed cast-iron rainwater goods. Roof supported by prefabricated concrete octagonal-profile rendered columns. Sloped curving concrete wall to rear elevation perforated by columns and two round openings.
This modest but aesthetically pleasing concrete rain and sun shelter is located prominently on Salthill's promenade overlooking Galway Bay. It forms part of group of similar structures on the seafront.
