Structure

Two pieces of light brushwood (Wth 0.07m; D 0.06m) in the drain face. The larger piece has a metal-cut chisel point. The wood is situated in well-humified Sphagnum peat containing ericaceous remains and fibrous roots. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
