Structure

A piece of brushwood (diam. 0.025m) in the drain face, of uncertain archaeological significance. It was situated in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with small amounts of ericaceous fragments. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
