Structure

A dispersed deposit (Wth 2.95m; D 0.65m) of light brushwood, occasional twigs and a light roundwood in opposing drain faces. The pieces are irregularly laid. A number of upright elements are noted in both drain faces. Numerous pieces have metal-cut chisel or wedge points. The site is distributed across several peat strata and does not constitute a single-period deposit. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
