Fairy fort in Lehenagh is a broken earthen ring on a north-facing slope, with a gap in the east bank and a shallow ditch around most of its edge. People called it a fairy fort because the shape seemed to belong more to imagination than reason, but the bank and ditch are the kind of work humans do when they mark a boundary and keep it. The fairies may have taken the place later, filling the gap and the grass with their own claims.

In pasture, below crest of E-W ridge, on N-facing slope. Circular area (49m N-S; 45m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.5m) E->NW; scarp (H 2.1m) NW->E with slight internal lip; external fosse (D 1.8m) SE->NW; shallow fosse elsewhere. Break in bank to E. Interior raised on N side to compensate for hillslope.
