Structure

A radially split oak plank (L 0.8m; Wth 0.17m; D 0.03m) on field surface. It is worked on all sides but has been subject to significant machine damage. The S end has been chopped but the N end has been broken. This piece may be related to a number of other isolated pieces of worked wood in the area and possibly to SMR OF007-199----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
