What is recorded here

Lisgibbagh is a fairy fort in County Galway, Ireland. It lies less than a mile from the road and half a mile from the sea. The ground still holds the shape of a small enclosure, though time and people have worn much of it away. Local story treats it as a dwelling place for the fairy folk, not a human home. That distinction matters because the fort exists to be avoided, not entered.

Some 200m E of a ringfort (GA060-135----). Very poorly preserved oval rath (N-S 34.5m, E-W 21.2m) defined by a bank at NE, and elsewhere by a scarp. Quarrying has encroached upon the monument at N, and a field bank surrounds it from SW through N to SE.
